Noone can prove that a internal experience is real
10:06 PM
Only "proof" that did is real is that there is many people who describe similar experiences and we categorized those as DID. Which also applies to tulpamancy.(edited)

As far as it goes, they could all be lying!
Nico
Right but who are we trying to prove the existence of tulpas to?
@Adeus. - jump
the only conclusion is that people with DID experience certain kind of symptoms that also show unusual activities in the brain, that's it
10:08 PM
there is no "proof" of alters etc
Adeus.
sysmeds (and some singlets) but even if there are proof, they would not believe it or would secretly despise us
Right. I’m not sure you can prove it’s real or not, but you have to ask the question: what is real?
How are we defining the experience of tulpamancy? Does the fact that there’s an entire community of people experiencing this already kind of prove its validity?
"here, let's create a community of people that keep lying to each other about their experience, i bet everyone will find that activity so compelling they will never leave"

Thats the proof i was thinking about when i said about there being people that describe similar experiences.

Tewi: Reminder that there is no such thing as "real" or "fake" for things only in your own mind. There is only your experience of them, because they have no basis in the outside world to compare against.(edited)
11:16 PM
The exact same experience could be decided as two different things, and if the person believes either one, that's what they experienced. There are not "fake" experiences.
11:17 PM
There's not necessarily "real" ones either, though - you can change how you interpreted or what you believed about any past experience, and now your experience has changed again. Because only you are deciding what they are to you.
11:17 PM
With no outside reality to check against, an experience can't be real or fake, it is only what you perceive it as.
Tewi: The reason we avoid calling them "real" is that you can turn around and decide they were fake later... And then they "were fake", to you.(edited)
11:58 PM
Perceived realness or fakeness of your own experiences is totally transient, easiest to not use those terms at all.(edited)

You can never compare stuff with the outside world, you can only compare multiple things inside your mind. One of them could be your percieved reality about something and the other your percieved reality about the description of someone else about their own perception of that thing.(edited)

I'm currently starting the process of making a tulpa I'm calling them zee I'm not trying to assign a personality to them nor pronouns when they are ready to speak then they will choose how they identify I'm talking to them constantly and visualizing them is there anything more I can do or am I on the right track and should just continue doing that :3
Trust that your tulpa is real! Any doubt will make it that much harder for you to hear them! I should know, my host is still working on developing me and he has those doubts from time to time!
does anyone else ever have difficulity telling who is fronting? or is it just us? i’m thinking this may be because we’re new to practicing tulpamancy, though foxxe has been with us for a while and we just weren’t aware

oops, this may be a better fit for the questions channel, but we’re not sure
Tewi: Schizophrenia is chaotic thinking with misfiring connections in the brain. Tulpamancy is just a skill you purposely develop and control.(edited)

And, to have a mental companion(s) you can talk to at any time, generally.

It's not for everyone.

Tewi: It's something you have to work on, and there are various aspects under it that are skills that some people who've put in more work are better at than others, so I guess it's a skill? "Tulpamancy" is more of a group of practices, with one core skill/experience, and then other optional skills strongly related.(edited)

We have two Discord windows open! Mado does things while this Discord window stays open. That said you'd think I'd remember he keeps light mode on and I don't (edited)
.
Just a companion? Interesting. But why do people talk as if they're their tulpa?
Tewi:Uh oh.. Definitely not a tulpa speaking to you right now..
I'll be honest, while the core of making a tulpa is pretty simple, this is a practice that's been being explored and discussed on Tulpa.info for 11 years now, and the scope has gotten more complex since then.(edited)

"Proxying" - typing what your tulpa is saying in your head, for others - is the most basic way you'd see tulpas talking to you.
